Last Friday 29th Nov. 1st Bach and 2nd Bach students from our school Santísimo Sacramento attended the classic drama play Romeo and Juliet. The excellent performance of ADG actors, well known worldwide, adapted the play to make it more accessible to school audiences. https://www.theatreallovertheworld.com/romeo-and-juliet
Despite the quality of the actors, the faithful Middle English used in the play was a challenge to our students, who responded well to it.
In this day and age, when the use of screens makes as slaves of so many daily activities, the students could appreciate the magic of a live performance, the ephemeral art inherent to drama and the values of the work of one of the greatest literary authors in the English language.
We thank the families for supporting this cultural activity and our students for accepting such a challenge.
